The Sneed Super Cooper series of cylinder heads is our premier fully assembled MINI Cooper cylinder head. Each head is cleaned, checked and then built into a Super Cooper Street, Sport or Super head by our inhouse engine machinist.
Super Cooper Street - (Stock replacement) heads are fully rebuilt to better than OEM specs with OEM parts. They are milled and trued to .0001 of an inch on the engine sealing surface and then receive a high flow valve job and valve facing as well as setting the valve spring seat pressures for best performance. All lifters, valve guides, valves and rockers are repaired and/or replaced as needed. This is a great stock replacement head, built by the leading MINI race parts manufacturer, with a few race touches.
Super Cooper Sport, heads receive all the above plus a high performance cams and new high performance valve springs. If you're tracking your MINI on a budget, this is the head for you. Direct, bolt on replacment for the stock head with a 15-20 horse power increase over the stock unit with ECU tuning, REV limiter can be increased to 8000rpm. But no ECU tuning required to use the head.
Super Cooper Race, heads receive everything above, cleaned valve bowls, swirl porting and polishing, a high performance cams, and race valve springs. All this creates a head that makes big power, handles high boost levels and revs past 10,000 RPM without valve float. ECU tuning is required.
There is a core charge on all heads. If you are returning your head before we ship your new head pick the Returning core before new head is shipped option with the head you want. You will not have to pay a core charge.
If you will be sending your head back after you receive your new head pick the Not returning core before new head is shipped option with the head you want. You will have to pay a core charge. Once your head is returned to us and passes inspection we will refund the core charge on the same day. Inspection can take up to 14 days. We need your core back! Good cores include all parts and pieces but do not have to be assembled when we receive them. We DO NOT expect heads that are cracked, melted or incomplete. We DO NOT expect core returns for credit after 30 days after new head ship date. Normally heads are in stock and ready to ship. Emissions legality for sport and race heads is not guaranteed, emission laws vary by state. If you are concerned check with your states DOT/DMV or governing body for emission laws and legality questions.
